Course duration 24 weeks include 3 months of hands on training and 20 hours in a Spa facility.
Students must complete theory,hands-on training and 20 hour in the Spa facility
Upon completion of the program Student are awarded Diploma in Esthetics and Cosmetology.
A graduate of the diploma becomes a fully certified Esthetician.
Employment opportunities with your diploma includes: Esthetician,manicurist,Pedicurist,Cosmetologist,make up Artist,Skincare technical trainer,Esthetics Teacher,Medical Esthetician,Beauty Advisor.Cosmetic Sales Rep.
Tuition fee $5200.
Course offered days or part time evenings and weekends.Tuition fee does not include uniform textbook and student supplies kit.
Skin Care Theory
This module involves anatomy and an in-depth understanding often skins? integral function and role. The student will learn to identify and recognize skin types, disorders, diseases and pigmentation abnormalities. The human anatomy and the main systems will also be covered to provide an enhanced comprehension of skin theory.
Manicure and Pedicure
This is a comprehensive program in which the student will develop an extensive understanding of manicure & pedicure techniques. This includes structure,diseases,disorders of the nail,sanitation and sterilization rules regarding manicure and pedicure,step by step techniques manicure and pedicure techniques,artificial nail,nail repair,designs and nail art.
Waxing
This module of the course involves hair removal the different methods and waxing techniques and procedures that is used. Proper sanitization,contraindication and precaution will be addressed.
Reflexology
In this module students will learn the theory of reflexology,explore reflexes on the hand and feet and how it can be incoperated with manicure and pedicure treatment.
Makeup
Learn the latest makeup techniques, applications, tricks of the trade and trends. This program covers skin analysis, face shape, colour theory, shading and highlighting, and correcting and blending techniques. Learn and practice makeup for daytime, evening.
Business in esthetics
This course teaches the student the business and retail aspect of the esthetic industry. It focuses on providing the student with the necessary tools and resources for employment and running a business. Resume writing, interviewing skills and public relations will be covered. The student will learn how to build a clientele and the importance of time management,set up facial room , ,client information and record keeping.
Aromatherapy
This course introduces the use of essential oils and teaches students how to incorporate this healing therapy into various esthetic treatments. Students will learn the history of essential oils, the oils? physical properties and current applications in relation to body treatment.
Swedish Massage and body treatment
This module of the course teaches students the basic strokes used in therapeutic massage for facial and neck massage. Hot stone massage,Scrubs, body treatment and body wraps will be address .Contraindication,precaution,draping,and the importants of effective communication skills will be address.
Nutrition
Nutrition is a fundamental aspect of our health . Students will learn about the benefits of nutrients ,vitamins, and mineral such as carbohydrate, protein,fats,and water in relation to how they can influence their health,skin,and body.
Skin Care Practical
Skin care practical will provide the students with comprehensive hands on training unique to their training in the beauty industry. Students will view the client integrating the holistic approach. Techniques used will be the Swedish Massage technique for facial and neck massage. Student will grasp the importance of skin analysis,client consultation, product knowledge, and recommendation.
Practical Job Placement
This segment of the course students will be place in a spa facility for 20 hrs to gain valuable knowledge of the beauty industry. They will shadow a trained professional in the industry and implement skills learnt from the Esthetics Program.
